Whether you’ve seen them previously on tour with bands like OK Go and Guster, or on “The Late Late Show With Craig Ferguson,” or heard their tunes on “The O.C.,” VH1’s “Best Week Ever” or even “American Idol,” there is no denying that Tally Hall is headed for big things. As they work in the studio with producer Tony Hoffer (Beck, Phoenix, Depeche Mode) on their sophomore album, Tally Hall is preparing to hit the road with Rooney beginning November 27 in Los Angeles.
Tally Hall was formed at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor in 2002, quickly building a word-of-mouth fan base in the Midwest, spreading from Ann Arbor throughout the region. After self-producing the album, “Marvin’s Marvelous Mechanical Museum,” was released on Atlantic Records and became a cult sensation, with the Boston Herald declaring it “an unexpected treasure” and the Los Angeles Times calling it “as conceptual as it is playful.” The track “Good Day” was featured on AOL Music and was voted #1 on MTVu’s “The Freshmen.” The band also launched “The Tally Hall Internet Show” (T.H.I.S.) in 2008. Featuring everything from music videos to tightly scripted narratives, T.H.I.S. was the first Internet variety show executively produced by a major label.
Another video treat from Tally Hall is their web series, Boralogues, which right now are focusing on their recording process and preparation for their tour! You can check out and feel free to post the newest, Boralogue V, here!
Tally Hall will be on the road with Rooney throughout December. Don’t miss your chance to see this smart, electrifying band play not just old favorites, but tracks from their upcoming release, never been heard live before!
