It’s readily apparent there’s a philosophical storm brewing in America. I’m sure that even those without a modicum of media savvy could assure you of the same, but to put it mildly, things are going to get juicy. Enter King Dude, a man armed with only his book of song, determined to bring forth the righteous from their slumber. King Dude is kind of an old-timey chap, who draws his muse from familiar themes of love, death and redemption. King Dude is an intimidating and stark figure accompanied by a lower register similar to Waits and Cohen if their vocals were dipped in tar. Give a listen to the prophetic “Jesus in the Courtyard” which is taken from his new album Burning Daylight, which will be available on October 16th via Dais.
