0Suuns Curate Sonic City Festival in Belgium

Suuns have just been announced as the curators for this year’s SONIC CITY Festival in Belgium on December 1 and 2. Following in the footsteps of Millionaire (’07) and Dälek (’09), Deerhoof (’10), Liars (’11), Suuns have chosen an impressive line up for this year’s edition. The band came up with a list that contains a mix of legends, influential underground bands, truly hot break-through acts and brand new discoveries. The first round of acts to be announced include SWANS, Demdike Stare, Tim Hecker, Jefre Cantu-Ledesma, and Han Bennink. Suuns will also perform.
This will be the fifth time that host venue De Kreun has organized the festival with a winning formula that hasn’t changed over the years in which a tastemaker artist is invited to select the festival’s line up. Thanks to this concept, each edition of Sonic City is totally different with a new look, a different perspective, surprising choices and an enormous diversity in musical acts. The result is a truly balanced festival that reflexes the broad taste and influences of SUUNS. Anything goes!
Suuns will also perform at this year’s ATP in December, curated by The National as well as one off dates in Paris and London. The band is currently in Montreal working with producer Jace Lasek (The Besnard Lakes, Sunset Rubdown, Wolf Parade, Land of Talk) on the follow up to 2010′s Zeroes QC.
