††† (Crosses) Featuring Chino Moreno of Deftones and Shaun Lopez of Far, Release EP †† Today

††† (Crosses) is the project of long time friends and collaborators Chino Moreno of Deftones, Shaun Lopez of FAR and Chuck Doom. The band quietly released EP † in August of 2011 as a free download on crossesmusic.com, gaining the attention of Forbes.com, which named the release one of the best free albums of 2011. EP †† picks up where EP † left off, and is a natural expansion of the ambient musical landscape the band created on its debut. RollingStone.com, which premiered EP ††’s lead track, “Prurien†,” spoke to Shaun Lopez about the EP, who in describing how the lead song developed explained it was “one of about 20 songs or so we’ve written, and the initial idea was almost metal. It ultimately morphed into something opposite of that – less aggressive, still big and resonating.”
EP †† is available as a standard digital download for $3.99, and as a deluxe version for $6.99, which includes a choice of high quality audio versions of the songs, EP †† demos, artwork, credits, lyrics, and “EX†ENDED PLAY,” an exclusive behind the scenes video of their work on both EPs † and ††.
