U2 : Achtung Baby [Deluxe Edition] :: Review

Achtung Baby is without a doubt the best album that U2 has ever made.  Fueled by broken relationships and a band that was teetering on the brink, U2 reconvened in Berlin and wrote their definitive statement.  Twenty years later, Achtung Baby is being released in a multitude of formats each offering a differing take and dollar amount depending on how much you’re willing to spend and whether you truly need those Fly shades that Bono sported.

The reissue that I received contained the two-disc deluxe edition that offers enhanced sonics and another disc compiling all of the single b-sides.  The clarity on the reissue is tremendous, as it appears that in the remastering process, the sound separation has been enhanced and the lower frequencies were bumped up as well.   Achtung Baby was the U2 album that was supposed to make you dance but always sounded somewhat tinny on the original cd.  This issue has been addressed and now you finally can.
