New : Gardens & Villa :: Black Hills
Gardens & Villa hail from Santa Barbara and have this kind of wasted glory about them. They draw from disparate influences like The Kinks, Gary Numan and 80′s synth pop but their sound isn’t so much like any of those. Gardens & Villa remind me of The National mostly by crafting a track with an underlying sense of tension. “Black Hills” comes from their self-titled debut which will be out July 5th courtesy of Secretly Canadian.
