Santa Rosa’s That Ghost is the confessional creation of one Ryan Thomas Schmale, a seeming malcontent. Schmale, like most malcontents, writes and records music. On the track, “Calls,” Schmale demonstrates his slacker-credo inspired ‘rock music’ by crafting an oft-kilter melody that is both spacey and deliberately looped. Well, played Mr. Schmale, well played.
