Boasting melodic guitar riffs, crashing drums, catchy hooks and Pixie’s like harmonies, “Whirring”, The Joy Formidable’s third single from the band’s 2009 album, A Balloon Called Moaning, will make you beg for more.
Ritzy Bryan’s lead vocals are sweet and edgy, married with an intertwining of guitar and Rhydian Dafydd’s kicking bass. Add in the percussion from Matt Thomas and the result is truly indie rock at its best. The band is in the middle of their North American tour and will be heading into a 2011 European tour in support of band’s full debut album “The Big Roar”, due for release in January 2011.
