The Brute Chorus is the aural equivalent of a slosh through a field of misty cow patties.  Excruciatingly underwhelming indie rock.

Eh? Have you listened to it mate?
Are you actually a journalist or a farmer? It is not even indie rock.
Clearly you cant be bothered writing proper reviews and with so many decent blogs out there its going to be a challenge to motivate myself to bother reading this one if this is the best you can do….

Yes, I have listened to it and it’s absolutely awful. It starts out with this lousy “Fever” ripoff and goes downhill from there. The Brute Chorus is indie rock or indie skiffle or something horrible. No major label would sign this slop.

By “Fever” I mean of the Peggy Lee variety.

Who gives a crap about Major Labels? Your review is hilarious, I love the way you describe Lazarus as a “Fever” rip off.
Really enjoyable witty writing but completely wrong about this band I think!

    Dear all,

i run a major and i would never sign the brute chorus, that is because they are not pop music and they seem to have a style of their own and would not look good enough in short skirts to encourage the general public to part with their pennies.

    Sorry.

Yeh but what I mean is who gives a crap about majors? I do think they would look good in skirts, but yes in terms of big sales you could be right, but I definitely think they are more interesting than most boring signings to majors.

Another part-time hack trying to score points off people doing something original and creative.

The album’s actually very good and you, Greg, are a dull-witted individual who clearly doesn’t know a great deal about music – which is ably confirmed with this so-called review.
