Odwalla® Offers Fans Chance to Perform During Outside Lands Music Festival

This year’s Outside Lands Music Festival boasts a lineup full of talented and unique performers, including Kings of Leon, The Strokes and My Morning Jacket. Likewise, Odwalla thinks it has a fan-base full of talented and unique people. Beginning July 12, fans can audition via the “Fresh Stuff” tab at www.facebook.com/odwalla to perform in the Fresh Experience Lounge hosted by Odwalla at the annual Outside Lands Music Festival, which takes place August 14-15 in Golden Gate Park in San Francisco.
The latest initiative in Odwalla’s “Campaign Against Ordinary,” the “Rock the Bay Ticket Giveaway and Contest” allows fans to showcase their talent through video auditions that ultimately could win them the chance to perform at the festival. The videos can be musical, danced or dance-like, spoken, artistic, a combination of these or another kind of original performance – anything the fan chooses to perform – as long as it is unique, positive and entertaining.
“We have witnessed it on Facebook and in person; Odwalla drinkers are some of the most interesting people in the world,” said Jason Dolenga, Brand Manager, Odwalla. “We’re joining our fans to celebrate uniqueness, share interests and entertain fresh ideas through a variety of initiatives, including the Fresh Experience Lounge at Outside Lands.”
Fans can upload video entries through the Odwalla Facebook “Fresh Stuff” page. Entrants can submit more than one video, but each video must be a different kind of performance. Fans can then encourage their friends and family to check out the video and share it with others. The contest runs July 12-29 and the winning performers, decided by an independent panel of judges, will be contacted the following week. Along with receiving two VIP tickets, winners will perform for festival attendees on Odwalla’s “Living Flavor Vending Machine” performance stage – which also is part innovative sampling booth and part advocate podium.

For those fans who prefer to rely on luck (no talent required), Odwalla also will be giving away a pair of Outside Lands tickets every day between July 12-29 via a sweepstakes that also can be linked to through the “Fresh Stuff” tab on the Odwalla Facebook page.
