New : Treetop Flyers :: Mountain Song
It seems like you can never escape the rootsy sounds of the early 1970’s and I don’t necessarily consider that a bad thing. Consider Treetop Flyers the heir apparent to the sound that the Fleet Foxes reawakened. The Treetop Flyers are a new Brit band and take their name from a Stephen Stills song, “Treetop Flyer.” Remarkably the Flyers sound just like Stills’ old band CSNY on “Mountain Song.” For me, this song conjures up memories made in wood paneled basements while digging through records in my neighbor’s musty record collection.
