Anna Rose : S/T EP :: Review

bird Anna Rose : S/T EP :: Review

Anna Rose appears as a falconer on the cover of her new S/T EP.  Why she’s pictured as such, who knows – maybe she’s really into looking sternly into the distance with falcons resting gracefully on her arm.   On one hand, I guess it’s an interesting composition to display an up and coming singer-songwriter cum guitar prodigy who studied under the legendary Arlen Roth.  On the other hand, the music on the EP is kind of like a mash up between Alanis Morissette and Alannah Myles.   Anna Rose is definitely not my thing and the lyrics are trite but I’m sure there’s an audience out there for well produced forgettable empowerment rock.  Shame the Lillith Fair is but a memory.
