New : Grand Archives :: Oslo Novelist
The second release from “Keep In Mind Frankenstein” is a country lament entitled, “Oslo Novelist” from the Grand Archives. For some reason, the Grand Archives remind me of a younger and moodier Moody Blues. Maybe it’s the vocals and harmonies that get me or maybe it’s the lazy hushed delivery which is also reminiscent of Mojave 3 and Slowdive. So many references, so little time. One last thing, I dig the pedal steel used in this track as it adds some extra resonance.
