Introducing The Scene Aesthetic
This is where we introduce to you Seattle’s very own Eric Bowley and Andrew de Torres, otherwise known as The Scene Aesthetic. What originally began as a jam session spent writing and recording their soon to become hit single “Beauty in the Breakdown” has henceforth turned into an overnight online success story. With a massive stateside tour supporting Owl City this summer and into the fall and an upcoming release via Destiny Worldwide Records The Scene Aesthetic have arrived.
It all started in Seattle in 2005 and could have ended shortly thereafter but unlike most overnight success stories the duo cut their teeth with each new experience and voyaged forward recording and writing. Throughout 2006 Eric and Andrew spent many months constructing songs to back up the rabid fan response. The duo’s efforts resulted in their debut release, “Building Homes From What We’ve Known” produced by Tom Pfaeffle and Brandon Metcalf. The band has been touring consistently ever since, winning the hearts of fans while racking in over forty million plays on Myspace along the way.Devoted to more than just simply sharing their music and winning over live audiences from their energetic and infectious shows, these boys also devote their hearts and energies towards spreading the word about helping others. From Breast Cancer to PETA to The Invisible Children Campaign Eric and Andrew are aware of their special gift and are working hard to put it to good use. With their upcoming album, A Type And A Shadow scheduled for release on July 14th fans everywhere are anxious to see what these boys are going to do next.
