Huey Lewis Tourbook -1986
I don’t know too many people who would be proud to display a Huey Lewis and the News tourbook from 1986. I have no shame and I will admit that this old souvenir is still a treasured possession of one of my earliest concert experiences.
Granted, this tour marked the beginning of Heuy Lewis’ decline because he was promoting his Fore! album. This concert probably attracted a lot of sports personalities as well. I remember meeting the tennis player Jimmy Conners. He was in town for a tennis tournament or something. A fellow Huey Lewis fan pointed me to Jimmy Conners direction and he signed my t-shirt. What a moment! I remember being very fond of the tourbook at the concert, but after a couple of months with it, I kind of lost interest. Below, you can see my other favorite pictures from this tourbook.
Just some guys from San Francisco riding a trolley. Um, that sounds kinda, you know.
Thumbs up to your mooseknuckle, Mr. Clegg
The Heart of Rock and Roll is still beatin’!
Blow that harp! Nice shirt, in a Miami Vice sort of way.
Go 49er’s!
I’m sensing a theme here.
I wish more of today’s bands would wear banana colored shirts and have fly-away hair! Rock on!!
